How to Warm up Hands....

Ask a Question

Give me some tips for keeping warm in the office!

I have a heated throw that keeps most of me warm and I've just got some fingerless gloves to help my hands but my fingers are still so cold! I don't want to put the heating on.

Invest In a Handwarmer. I have a Zippo one that I use for work. I work outside so then it goes In my pocket. You can get rechargeable ones too. Not sure how they will be as I dont own one. Lots of options on the market nowadays.

Used to be able to get handwarmers like a teabag you heated in microwave. Not sure if still do them. Heated gloves? There might be some somewhere.

I have a hand warmer that’s rechargeable. My son bought it from Amazon last year and it’s still working perfectly. However my husband bought some instant heat pads that you just crack to warm up, then dispose once used. The rechargeable is the best. I think it was about £25, there are much cheaper ones available but it’s worth paying a bit more.

Pjran to me they look like mouse for your laptop haha

Are they lightweight? And how many hours do they last for?

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of deals on here of the rechargeable hand warmers no idea which one is good

kitty88uk i agree with you regarding the shape. Mine lasts a few hours and has 3 heat settings. Please reconsider putting your heating on, you could turn the thermostat down slightly. Take care.

It's ridiculous that in this time 2023 we cannot keep warm because it's so expensive, and unfortunately it's only going to get worse, prices will never go back down

You can buy a hand warmer or there are little hand heating packets you can get. You can put them i think in the microwave to re use them

The usb rechargeable hand warmers are great - not sure how much they cost to recharge but I'd guess less than the cost of a throw-away handwarmer. They come in two styles - 2 that stick together magnetically so they can be divided for each hand or a single unit that you wrap both hands around. I think the single units tend to get warmer. On offer these come at about £16-£30

If it's been really cold then there's no choice but to pop the heating on, if not too bad I usually fill a hot water bottle and have a throw over me and that usually is enough to keep my hands warm.

HEDGEHOGS yeah I use a throw too and a smaller fleece blanket when I sleep 😴

But this time didn’t need to use the big throw or turn the portable oil heater on

Wore a thin scarf 🧣 and thick socks 🧦 to sleep lol and I was all warm and cozy!
