Do You Watch Any Soaps ?

Other

The only soap I watch these days is neighbours. I haven’t watched eastenders or years Corrie and emmerdale are both so far fetched by Neighbours...... now that’s real life right there 😊😊😊

No bored with them many years ago, in my view too much tragedy and bad news in them, more comedy & light hearted moments they need . I watch TV to get away from reality and relax , not be reminded of bad situations.

Eastenders or emmerdale but at both sometimes are boring, so I don't watch them all the time...

Eastenders is boring at moment.

I have gone off emmerdale at moment because of Maya and Jacob.

the story is going on for too long and it's sick thinking and watching a women as a pedophile.

I know its a soap and your not watching it really happening but still it put me off.

Haven't watched a soap for at least 25 years and can't understand why people are still so obsessed with other peoples ficticious lives!

I no longer bother with soaps either. Too depressing all the time and the storylines are the same old.

RegularComper90 If we very rarely put the tv on and a soap is on the channel it starts up with, and this applies particularly to C Street, you usually pick it all up as if you had never left...

tumblespots I’ve usually only got the tv on in the background when the grandkids are here.... oh and if judge juday is on.... I love that programme. Otherwise I’m watching the iPad or reading. A lot of rubbish on tv.

nipperjwb I think that modern tv is mostly awful, 90% dross, 5% almost worth watching and 5% of which has some effort made by the channels to give us something to enjoy. We watch far more DVD's than live programmes.

Have you also noticed that these days when you watch a film or series that you have enjoyed in the past there are bits constantly cut from it which is really annoying. You have to know films really well to spot these.

tumblespots I agree. I don’t watch many films as I tend to fall asleep ( I embarrassed my children once for snoring during a film !) I do like a good documentary though.
