I have a little pug, he was looking for a new home my dog passed recently, he was a alapaha bulldog, the most loyal dog, my shadow..I'm used to big dogs.. now I have this tiny one x
Shih Tzu. He's gorgeous! He's owner (my mum's wife) passed away earlier this year. He's with us now along with 5 other fur babies.
I have a Yorkie, she thinks she rules the world I used to have Staffordshire Bull terrier’s I have owned 5 over the years
Wolvesbear8 She is so adorable, I owned two Red Staff Both Male and both Rescued, We had Ted when he was 11 months old his original owners had no time for him and warned he would destroy anything on the Floor and said he was still learning to stay clean in the house, I spent a week staying downstairs with him, I had Presents under the Christmas tree and didn’t want them Destroyed, Ted snuggled up on the Sofa with me and Never Moved all Night he was spotless indoors and never touched anything he wasn’t supposed to touch, My Boys Doted on him, The only thing he ever chewed was the Socks on the Radiators He would chew the feet out of them To the Amusement of my son’s many times they would pretend Ted had eaten their socks so they couldn’t possibly go to school that only worked once after that I made sure the boys socks were in my room
smithpoppy303 ahhh bless Ted. It just shows you need to have a loving home and patience. We rescued roxanna after we lost our black staffy charlie, in 2020 rox was being given away for free so we went and rehomed her. She was VERY BAD when we got her. But she has slowly learnt Iver the past 2 years how to be a good girl and she has come on in leaps and bounds. Adore the breed I do
Kitty10 Have you got a horse box for them? It's years since I saw one of them - many people mix them up with New Foundlands, it's some years since I saw one of them too (a neighbour had one).
We have a Patterdale named Poppy, we had her mother (Jess) before her but she passed away about 7 years ago and we found out the owner of poppy wanted a new home for her not long after Jess passed so we asked if we could take her so we did!
I have a 7year old staffy and a 1 year old lhapso also a 6 month old dachshund. They are all adorable ❤
for six years this little monkey pretended to be too scared to go downstairs so she would cry until I went upstairs to carry her down and I can’t hoover unless I Hoover her too
smithpoppy303 My late dog was "in love" with the vacuum cleaner too. If you want to know why many dogs are terrified of coming downstairs: Try going upstairs on all fours - then try coming downstairs the same way... you'll be terrified too. (I do urge you not to try it).
It's reasonably safe to do if you come down backwards - some dogs work that out for themselves.
davidstockport she was only doing it to me any time someone visited she would quiet Happily Run up and down them and the moment I walked into the hallway she would sit on the top stay waiting for me to pick her up As for the hoover she was so tiny when I got her she was scared of everything so I showed her the hoover wouldn’t hurt her once she watched me put the hoover on my jumper she eventually came over to the hoover and waited for me to put it on her fur now she lifts up the hoover wanting me to hoover her same as bathing her I put a small amount of water in the Bath and then I coaxed her to get in the water Now she can’t get enough of the water, When I get her towel she runs upstairs and gets in the Bath ready for a wash, she gets excited when she knows she is going to be groomed by Jade she has had the same groomer since she was 6 months old Jade said she has never met a dog so eager to get groomed
smithpoppy303 Couldn't keep my last dog out of water - if having a bath yourself you had to be careful to make sure door was shut properly or he'd be in with you. We got him when he was only 25 days old* he was swimming at 26 days old - had to bath him he was covered in puppy fleas.
*He was from a litter of twelve and his mother couldn't cope.
Our dog Lacey is a Siberian Huskey. Much loved. But, at the age of 16 (very old for a dog of this breed) her physical and mental state is failing rapidly. Heartbreaking to see. But still pampered and loved just the same as when she was a puppy.
