Who's liked ❤ my deal?

While I think it will be a benefit for the website to have notifications lighting up when somebody votes (presuming that's how it will be) because it'll have members posting for gratification, I think that some will just vote up each others posts due to it. and not because they think it is a deal.

That's my very minor whinge on this.

I think that is a bad idea. Voting should always be anonymous. I can't see a reason a user would need to know who voted on their deal.

Dread hmmm that's a good point. We're far, far away from doing this - so many more things to do - so will give it more thought. Needs to work for everyone.

Bash good point. It's trying to find that balance between encouraging everyone to post deals - and ensuring the quality of a deal shines through

nemosays It is a noble thought but letting people know who voted creates just that. Gangs of people who upvote each others deals. It has the opposite effect and doesn't help people find deals just gives them a warm fuzzy feeling because somebody upvoted them but hinders the actual finding of good deals. With lots of deals around the same amount of likes and non deals being upvoted. A site that is all roses and perfume won't help anybody. You need opposing views. You can see how the "other" sites flourish because of it.
