Why Do We Call It Black Friday?

Ask a Question

So we took on Black Friday and then cyber Monday.... now we decided that Black Friday is all week! Surely we should be calling it something else.

I think in lots of shops its now “Black Friday month” 🤦🏻‍♀️ May as well call it ”black November“... Boots just keep starting it earlier and earlier every year, used to be one day, now it’s two weeks...

It got it's name after a stock market crash in 1869 in the states. It started in the USA and the UK copied it
