Why Has a Post of Mine Been Removed?

I've just noticed a competition post and I remember posting this myself, not so long ago, so I'm curious to why it's been removed and someone else has posted the same competition .
Did you post first? It's possible that it got reported for being a duplicate. I've had this happen to me before though as well - had a deal deleted, and then two minutes later someone else posted the exact same deal.
Yes, I remember posting it, and this other person has posted the same competition twice today!

If your post was removed for being a duplicate you should get a notification with a link to the original post. If that didn't happen please let me know as it might be a bug 
We (and some lovely volunteers!) handle all the reports/duplicates by hand and so - unfortunately - we do sometimes make mistakes too - please just shout at us if that's the case!
The moderation system is a little confusing at the moment as once a post goes into moderation no-one can access it anymore (including the person who originally posted it). Our mentors often leave messages on the post explaining why it's been put into moderation but, of course, you can't then read them!
I'm playing with the idea of allowing people to see their own posts that are in moderation to provide a bit more clarity/transparency as to what's going on. I just need to see what I'd need to change in the code and whether or not it would have any unexpected consequences!

Mine was removed and I didn't notice any notifications, but someone posted the same comp this morning. Maybe it is a bug?
CherylParry if it is the radio comp for planet radio to win a tech prize it looked like two the same but one was absolute radio, the other magic radio, you can enter both but each one only once. You may have posted one of the stations that had already been posted previously.
Even my deal posts are being removed since yesterday. Almost 1500 points were deducted since yesterday. The notification I received was that I might be working for a retailer or a company and hence the posts were removed. This is to clarify that I do not work for any retailer or company and it's disheartening to see the points getting deducted for this reason when I cross 11000 points. Could you please clarify and fix this?

Sorry to hear you have had some posts remove that you don't feel should have been. Could you please drop us a message via our contact form so that we can investigate? We'll either fix it if it's a mistake or otherwise try and provide more details as to the rationale for any posts being removed.
