A word from the coastguard

Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue Team
Over the weekend our colleagues at HM Coastguard Shoreham were tasked to a huge search to find a possible person in difficulty in the water.
The reason for the search was a Kite surf board washed up on the beach with no owner.
The search involved Coastguard Land teams, a Coastguard Helicopter alongside both inshore and offshore Lifeboats.
The Search lasted four hours while the owner of the board was safely at home.

That's a great idea for anyone that has a Surf board, Kite board, Paddle board, Kayak or Canoe. They'd be able to alert you it's been found, and save time for them too not having to search for a possible person lost. I'll have to forward this to my friend that does a lot of surfing down in Cornwall. Thanks for sharing.
