Wrapping Paper.

Ask a Question

So what do peope do at Xmas with wrapping presents.

Do you have a specific wrapping paper for each child so you don't need to use tags as all their presents match or do you wrap them all totally random so there lots of colours?

Also what your best deals for paper, not studio as dnt want to pay delivery I need about 12 meters per child (I have 2)

I’m pleased to see more and more places do recyclable wrapping paper. I only buy recyclable wrapping paper but also look at other less wasteful options as ultimately even if it’s recyclable it still feels wasteful as you just get masses of paper going in the bin. My friend recently did me a hamper and put everything in a basket just arranged nicely but no wrapping paper or cellophane (hate this on hampers) and it was perfect, looked lovely and didn’t mean there was anything going straight in the bin 🙂

In recent years I have wrapped peoples presents in plain brown paper and decorated them myself with pens/stamps - I used a different colour or a different stamp for each person 🙂

I only have one child so it doesn't matter what wrapping paper I use as long as it is Christmas themed. I bought recyclable wrapping paper this year from B&M.

WHS Smith, Paperchase and The Works have some good offers on, I used to try to use one type of paper but would usually run out, so now anything goes. I use sacks for each individual.

I know this wouldn't work with for kids, but I now use Brown wrapping paper and make them more festive with ribbon.

You cannot give Christmas presents without it being wrapped in wrapping paper. That's the whole point of giving Christmas presents to people.

A few years ago I bought a huge roll of brown paper and wrap presents with it then decorate with ribbon attaching a gift tag. I feel it’s a bit more eco.

I but my recyclable wrapping paper after Christmas, doesn't cost much and just store away in the loft for the next years wrapping. I make my own decs for female gifts and cut up Christmas cards for the tags.

I have wrapping paper for Father Christmas and then wrapping paper for presents from us. I usually write tags but this year I'm going to attempt to make my own stickers with my printer, which I'm hoping will save me time.

I wrap each grandchild’s presents in there own paper. Usually Christmas dinosaurs for my grandson and Xmas fairies for my granddaughter

A while back I read about a new trend of wrapping gifts in pretty material and asking the recipient to use again. Seems like a win win to me but can't say I've seen it put into practise.

I usually buy from supermarkets or card factory, always look out for it reduced after Christmas. Got lots last year from tesco, asda and also meaning i have enough to last this year for quarter of the price! 🤩

If you have ‘the works’ shop near you they have some good deals. I do coloured for the kids and brown paper with sort of raffia string and bows x
