What is Currys?

Currys is a British electrical store operating in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. It was established in 1884 by Henry Curry. The first Currys shop was launched in 1888 at Belgrave Gate, Leicaster and moved to a much bigger space on the same area in 1890. The company’s growth continued during the 1900s and by 1927, Currys sold a wide array of products which includes bicycles, toys, radios and gramophones. Today the company specializes in electronics and household appliances and has around 295 superstores and 73 high street stores as well as smaller stores trading under the Currys Digital brand in the UK. Many Currys shops in the UK have now been double branded with the PC World name.

How do I return an item to Currys?

• If you want to cancel an order you have not yet received, call 0344 561 1234 to inform one of their colleagues whether you would like a refund or exchange.
• To speed up the process, have your order number to hand before calling.
• Once they receive your request, you will be contacted to process your cancellation.
• If it is too late to cancel your delivery, you may call their Knowhow contact centre on 0344 561 1234 to discuss an exchange or refund.
• Cancelling an online or phone order cannot be processed in store.

• Whether you bought it in store, online or over the phone, all of Currys products can be returned to a Currys PC World store.
• For Online Only large kitchen appliances and purchases made using PayPal or Your Plan Credit, you may arrange for a collection with their aftersales team on 0344 561 1234.

When are the Currys PC World sales?

Currys starts the Boxing Day and January sales from December 24th online, and December 26th in-store. The promotions run right up until the end of January. You can normally save up to 50%. They also updated their Black Friday bargains in 2016 with a huge 10-day Black Tag deals event.

Does Currys Price Match?

Yes, Currys PC World has a price promise. If you find the exact same product at any major competitor (Argos, ASDA, John Lewis, Tesco, AO) even if it's with a voucher code they'll match it. This may be very useful if you have a Currys nearby but find a cheaper price elsewhere.
