What is Euro Car Parts?

Image

Euro Car Parts is the UK's number one retailer for, yep - you guessed it, car parts. It offers click and collect same day, or free delivery. It has over 200 branches nationwide and sells everything from number plates to engine oil.

The auto retailer stocks over 130,000 different car parts for every make of car and light commercial vehicle. This includes BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and VW.

Its delivery service covers 98% of the UK population and it distributes 60,000+ orders per day. That's 100 deliveres a minute from 16 regional distribution centres. It employes over 9,000 staff but all started wtih just one man: Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia.

🕰️ The Story of Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, founder of Euro Car Parts

Image

Sukhpal started Euro Car Parts when he was just 18 years old in Willesden, North West London. Now it's the largest distributor of car parts in the UK.

But his story is interesting and starts long before that. Born in Uganda but of Indian heritage, he escaped with his family the dictatorship of Idi Amin. Starting with just £5,000 he opened his first shop and grew it by 25% - 35% every year. Now there are over 200 branches with a turnover of over £900 million.

The company now also operates in Europe (almost a similar size). However, Sukhpal sold the company to LKQ Corporation of Chicago for £280 million. He's still Executive Chairman but interests now vary into other ventures.

🛍️ What does Euro Car Parts sell?

The company sells car parts both in-store and online. However, online it has diversified to many other products too. You can now find home and garden goods such as swimming pools, marquees, gazebos, tool kits, lighting and more.

There is a big gift section home to an assortment of products (and questionable taste of gifts) such as radiators, selfie sticks, anemometer weather tool, quadrocopters, key rings and more. These are reduced in price on average 10% - 20% and include free delivery.

💰 Euro Car Parts Clearance

Many bargains and discounts can be found in the online Clearance section. Discounts range from a weasely 3% to a hunky 53%. Deals change daily depending on what's in stock. Usually there's about 100 - 200 on special offer.

Again, it varies largly as to what's on offer. You may find a bargain tool kit, wrench, light bulb or just gloves with good grip. However, what's particularly good about Euro Car Parts is that even the clearance section comes with free delivery.

So if you're ever looking for cheap things for example at Halfords, it's always worth taking a look here too - you may be able to save a pretty penny.

💌 How much is Euro Car Parts delivery?

The company offers free standard delivery for all orders within 2 - 4 working days. You can also order free same day delivery on orders over £10.

If you want it faster (or it's unavailable for same day delivery), charges start at £3.95.

There is also a free click and collect service. At checkout, just type in your post code to find your nearest of over 200 branches. You can then select which store you'd like to pick it up from.
