The Range is a UK-based multi-channel variety retailer offering products for the home, garden and leisure. It was founded by Chris Dawson in 1980 originally as an open-air market trader in the UK. The first retail stores opened in 1989 at Sugar Mill Business Park under the name C.D.S. Superstores. This type of trading continued to be displayed on their external signage exclusively this debut store only to pay homage to the business’ heritage.
The vast majority of their stores are located in out of town retail park locations except for those in Greater London at Surrey Quays, Enfield, Romford and Watford. The retailer also occupies some shopping locations such as the Redditch store. Since the evolvement of the brand, various design repetitions and store branding as well as format have been used. A number of their stores also include their own-brand coffee shop concept called Dee Dee’s which is operated by Compass Group and can only be found within The Range stores.
The company’s growth was rapid and regularly announced new store openings in large trenches. For the first time, they opened stores in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland during 2016 and 2017. Today, they have more than 140 stores nationwide and is known as the fastest growing retailer in the country in addition to their ever expanding website offering a home delivery service.

Returns to Store
You can return most products purchased online to any of their stores as long as they are returned in their original, unused condition within 30 days of receipt and accompanied with your delivery note. Some larger products including furniture and appliances cannot be returned to their stores and this is highlighted on your order confirmation and returns label. Use their Store Finder to locate the nearest The Range on your location.

You can return products purchased online as long as they are still in their original unused condition and within 30 days of receipt. When posting your items back to them, it’s important you first authorise your return using the Returns authorization process or contact our customer care team.
