80 Lloyds & Natwest Bank Branches to Close: Is Yours On The List?
Lloyds and NatWest have announced that they will be closing an additional 80 branches this year. This is another blow to Britain’s High Street which has seen over 500 banks close in a decade.
Lloyds Banking Group will close 26 more Lloyds branches, nine more Halifax branches, and two Bank of Scotland sites. NatWest will close 40 branches and its sister bank Royal Bank of Scotland will close five.
Barclays also announced earlier this week that they intend to shut 14 more branches across England and Wales in June. HSBC is planning to close 114 branches across the UK this year.

What are those people whom don't use online or apps going to do? My dad for instance won't do online banking and goes to his bank every Thursday morning. Hopefully the closures won't affect too many people.
In Sunderland and neighbourhood areas we had 7 branches of Lloyds Bank and from July we'll only have 1 and that's in the City centre and you've to pay to park or park 2 miles away walk in or pay bus fare and wait in an endless queue!
