So, you want the best SIM deal? Switching from a fixed-term monthly contract with a handset to SIM-only can be a great way to save money. There are many SIM only deals with unlimited data and cheap monthly costs.

Are you looking for the cheapest plan, unlimited everything, or a good all-rounder?

SIM cards do not have to be expensive. There are some fantastic deals available with unlimited data, phone calls and text messages.

Where can I get unlimited everything?

Three Mobile has the best unlimited everything plan, with 50% off for the first 6 months, only £10 per month.

The contract length is 24 months. After 6 months at £10, it then goes to £20 per month.

If you want a shorter contract, 12 months, then you can get a contract with unlimited data for £20 a month too.

What's the best all-rounder SIM card?

VOXI is a new brand of Vodafone. It is the best SIM only deal if you want a good all-rounder, from only £10 per month.

  • Unlimited Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc.)
  • 6GB Data (for other stuff)
  • Unlimited Calls
  • Unlimited Texts
  • No Contract, Cancel Anytime

Where can I see more SIM Only deals?

SIM-only contracts are becoming more popular as people are preferring to buy a smartphone outright and then just have a cheap SIM.

This prevents you being over-charged once you have paid off your phone. What does that mean? Normally, when you buy a monthly contract, a large portion of that is to pay for the handset itself. However, once your contract finishes if you forget to cancel it then you continue to pay the same expensive monthly fee despite the fact that you've already finished paying for the handset.

Can I use a SIM only contract abroad?

Yes. All UK networks will allow you to use your phone abroad to make and receive calls. If you're in the European Union (EU), then you will continue to be charged your normal rate. That means free roaming in the EU. With VOXI's video plan where for £7 you can get all-you-can-eat video streaming data, this could be brilliant for a holiday. But always check individual terms and conditions with your phone network before heading off.

Can I keep my number

Hey jonny4491 🙂 You can always keep your number - just be sure to get a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) from your existing network and give it to the new network 👍
