Last call out I made to BG under their maintenance contract was cancelled FIVE times and, in the end, they told me to arrange another plumber and they paid the bill. Oh, and all that took more than two months. So, you decide if you want to rely on BG.

i bought a property, last March. The seller was not willing to come forward with many details regarding the supplier of electricity and gas so i had to do my own research. I managed to find out the supply though not safe was British Gas. The property needs much renovation work, so neither the electric or gas is working at the moment. Not only are they charging me standing charges, but because the last occuier who used it - not owned it - was a business, they're attempting to charge me business charges. I have fought this and they only told me today that I have to square it with the council before they change me over from business to residential. Why they didn't tell me to do this months ago i have no idea but i have been passed from pillar to post for eight months and they have even had the cheek to put my business debt in the hands of a credit agency. I am fuming. So when this is sorted, I will be moving from British Gas completely and finding a more reasonable supplier. i really do not recommend them, THEY HAVE BEEN SO UNHELPFUL.

My mum has been a customer of British Gas now for many years and is very pleased with the price , services and rewards she receives as a loyal customer. Any issues she has had in the past customer services have done a fantastic job to help and engineers have always been very polite and helpful. They have also resolved problems very quickly .
