ScotRail discount code our lot snapped up quickly
Our community really went for this ScotRail discount code. It knocked £5 off Anytime Fares when you spent more than £30, which took a bit of the sting out of those last-minute trips you just had to make.
People redeemed it fast because it worked on Anytime tickets - usually the pricier option when plans change and you're left booking late. It's expired now, but we're keeping an eye on LatestDeals for the next ScotRail voucher that comes along.

Club 50: an easy ScotRail saving for over-50s
If you’re hunting for a ScotRail discount code or voucher, this is usually the better place to start. Club 50 is a year-round discount for over-50s rather than a promo code that comes and goes. It costs £15 a year, and members can get 20% off selected fares when booking online, or 10% off selected fares through other channels.
You’re really paying for an ongoing discount, with the occasional extra offer thrown in. ScotRail has run limited-time deals for members before, including a £19 return flat-fare promo. A couple of things are worth knowing first: Club 50 is added to a ScotRail Smartcard, and it usually can’t be used alongside other Railcards or rail promotions.
- £15 annual membership
- 20% off selected fares online
- 10% off selected fares through other channels
- Occasional flat-fare and partner offers
Before you buy, it’s worth comparing Club 50 with any other Railcard option in the household. In most cases, you’ll need to choose one discount rather than combine them.

Money saving tips at ScotRail
Sign up emails
ScotRail’s email updates don’t come with a sign-up discount - we checked - but they’re still worth having if you usually book in advance. They flag things like advance fares, occasional offers, competitions and timetable changes.
We mostly watch for the “advance fares released” emails. ScotRail says Advance tickets are usually available from about 12 weeks before travel, and that’s often when the cheapest fares show up anyway.
Family Pass
If you’ve got a few days out planned, or family visiting, the ScotRail Family Pass can work out much cheaper than buying separate day returns each time.
For Easter 2026, it costs £60 and gives up to two adults and four children 7 days of unlimited travel across Scotland. The main restriction is timing: it’s valid on ScotRail services after 09:15 from Monday to Friday, and anytime at weekends. It can start on any day from 3 to 13 April 2026, so that window matters.
Kids for £1
Kids for a Quid is one of the better-value ScotRail deals because it’s very straightforward. Up to four children aged 5 to 15 can travel for £1 return each with an adult, and it runs every day of the year.
The awkward bit is how you buy it. It isn’t available online, in the app or from ticket machines. You need to get it from ScotRail staff at a station ticket office or on the train, after buying the adult ticket.
Young Scot card
If you’ve got a 16, 17 or 18-year-old with a Young Scot National Entitlement Card, make use of it. It gives 1/3 off most rail fares and 50% off Season Tickets.
It’s also worth knowing about ScotRail’s Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount Card Scheme. That can cover free travel to job interviews and the first month of work. It’s not a voucher, but if it applies to you, it cuts costs far more than most codes ever will.
Claim Delay Repay
This isn’t a discount code, but it is money back. If your ScotRail journey is delayed by 30 minutes or more, Delay Repay can cover part or all of the fare.
The refund is 50% of a single fare, or 25% of a return, for delays of 30 to 59 minutes. For delays of 1 hour to 1 hour 59 minutes, it’s 100% of a single or 50% of a return. If you’re delayed by 2 hours or more, you can claim the full ticket cost. Just don’t sit on it too long: claims have to be made within 28 days.

About ScotRail
ScotRail runs most passenger train services in Scotland. You can book standard tickets, season tickets, rail passes and digital tickets for journeys across the country, as well as some onward connections elsewhere in the UK. The site also covers the practical stuff people usually need, like refunds, Delay Repay claims, and information for families and regular commuters.
Plenty of travellers use ScotRail because booking is fairly simple, and the company says it does not charge booking fees on ticket purchases. There are a few straightforward ways to save without needing a promo code too. Young Scot National Entitlement Card holders aged 16 to 18 can get 1/3 off most fares and 50% off Season Tickets. Kids for a Quid lets up to four children aged 5 to 15 travel for £1 return each with an adult, although you have to buy that one from staff rather than online. If your journey is delayed by 30 minutes or more, Delay Repay is available as long as you submit your claim within 28 days.
If you're looking for a ScotRail discount code or ScotRail voucher, we keep the latest offers gathered here on LatestDeals.
I’m Mia, Junior Community Manager at LatestDeals, and I’ve been here since December 2021 checking offers and flagging the ones that aren’t actually worth it. One thing people often miss with ScotRail is Delay Repay. If your train is 30 minutes or more late, you can claim money back, but you need to do it within 28 days. I’d genuinely set a quick reminder on your phone before you even leave the platform because it’s an easy one to forget. It’s not a ScotRail discount code, obviously, but it is real money back. Outside work, I’m usually trying new foodie spots or doing my nails.
