Definitely not the 4th emergency services Called the breakdown after my gearbox jammed near to the motorway - so I managed to park in the service station and wait 3 hours for the recovery man to arrive. For a skilled and knowledgeable supposed patrol - the chap didn’t even want to test the car out of the forecourt - his excuse not enough space to get a feel of the issue.!! ? Agreed with my diagnosis gearbox was sticking and making A sound but then having Made a number of assumptions about what it could be and what the extent of the issue may be and repairs needed, he DIDNT CALL A RECOVERY TRUCK TO recover my car abs prevent any further damage, which the AA so recommends it’s customers to do to minimise liability isssues yada yada. Instead the offer was he would follow my car home as he also lived that way and despite having stopped THREE TIMES on route telling him the problem was getting worse and sounds louder, he did not use an iota of common sense or training or skills or experience to halt and call for recovery. Eventually clutch completely burnt out and he called a recovery truck and left me to wait !!! Despite having parts and labour policy and breakdown - the service was not even provided in the loosest of terms. DO NOT BUY PARTS AND LABOUR COVER as clauses mean everything pretty much is wear and tear and not mechanical in their eyes. And Breakdown cover many others less well known provide the same if not better for a fraction of the premium high charges of the AA. NOT MY fourth emergency service that’s for sure

You see a lot of people complaining about waiting for breakdown recovery but I must admit the AA have been brilliant. I called them out last week and within 45 minutes they were at my house and sorted the problem out with great customer service. Thanks for the great quick service I would definitely recommend them

So my home insurance has been with AA and ironically its due for renewal this week , now I normally dont renew with a company due to being ripped off but credit to them the renewal quote did go up but considering the the prices of other insurers the the renewal quote was by far the best value and the reason I am renewing.

I have had my AA Home Insurance now for over 3 years and have never had any issues using them . I have building and contents insurance with them. They were cheaper to buy direct from after using comparison websites. I also have my car insurance with them and again have had no problems. The price i pay is worth the piece of mind and the website is easy to use and keep track of everything. Its easy to update your details ect when needed. They have a great customer service when i have asked questions in the past . I have never made a claim so can't comment on that but the service from them so far has been great.
