Why is my YHA England and Wales Discount Code Not Working?

There could be a few reasons why your YHA England and Wales voucher code isn't working:

  • The discount code may have expired: Be sure to confirm the expiry date of the YHA England and Wales discount code to ascertain that it's still valid. Expired codes unfortunately won't work.
  • The discount code might not apply to your booking: Promo codes often have specific terms and conditions, such as being applicable only for certain types of accommodation or dates. Make sure that your YHA reservation fulfils these requirements.
  • The discount code could have been incorrectly input: It's worth verifying that you've entered precisely the right voucher code, with exact letters, numbers, or special characters. A small typo can make the difference between a successful or unsuccessful application of a YHA England and Wales code.
  • The discount code might not be applicable in your region: Some promo codes are region-limited. This being the case, reconfirm that the voucher code is eligible for use in your locality.

If you want clean, safe and cheap overnights, I recommend the Youth Hostels Association. You can get 10% rolling discount on your overnight fees if you become a member (£15 a year by direct debit). Many hostels also offer camping in the grounds, with full access to the hostels where you can use the showers, toilets, members' kitchen and lounge. Hostels are not just for younger people. I started young and am still enjoying hostelling 44 years later. You could choose to stay in a haunted castle or ex-friary, a converted mansion, or a former hotel such as YHA Brighton. My only gripe about today's YHA is that some hostels are becoming like glorified bed and breakfasts, with overnight fees to match in some locations. Also, there used to be over 300 Youth Hostels in the UK and there are now just over 150, so this makes it harder to 'join-the-dots' if you want to design your own walking route from hostel-to-hostel. I have always found the warden and staff in youth hostels very welcoming and helpful. Finally, here are some of my favourite hostels: YHA Sheringham for the beautiful coast - 10 minutes' walk to the sea front. YHA Keswick, which sits by the lovely River Greta. Great for Lake Derwentwater and views/climbing Skiddaw. YHA South Downs for the super-friendly staff, the South Downs Way path and hourly trains to Lewes and Brighton. The 4-bed camping pods here are great fun and well-insulated from the elements. Look out for the 20% to 25% off accommodation offers which are often posted on the YHA website, and happy holidays!

Stayed in a few youth hostels in my time and the level of cleanliness and attention to details is excellent for the price that you pay. If you havent tried it I would certainly recommend giving them a go and have a great network of places to stay throughout the country.

My brother used the YHA England and Wales website to book a hostel for a trip with his friends. They had a great choice of places to stay that were cheap and cheerful. They also got a discount for group bookings as there was a lot of them. They have a great customer service team who were very helpful when they asked him questions. No problems from booking , to arriving and leaving. Perfect website for anyone on a budget.

Staying in a lovely place in Dorset and must admit it was very basic but also really good. The only thing was that they locked the doors at around ten o clock and we had to wake up the warden to get back in. These are perfect for students and the more adventurous
