There are some good ones here, but definitely most looking forward to Bill and Ted - itโ€™s about time!

Which ones are you looking forward to?

Not much there for a scifi fan and I remember the original Dune as quite a poor film, rich in atmosphere but bland dialogue and a very slow pace so I'm not hopeful about that one. I watched Ad Astra the other day probably the first film I've watched released in 2019 and it was fairly poor overall. It's been slim pickens in recent years for decent scifi movies as superhero movies are more popular nowadays but those have zero science in them and purely a succession of action scenes mostly. I'm also looking forward a bit to Bill and Ted that could be fun and maybe Ghostbusters but I won't be surprised if the reviews are poor for both.

Yes, I imagine that most reboot or long awaited sequel films that are relying on previous fans have weak plots. But I hope theyโ€™ll still be good fun, at least stream worthy opposed to big screen worthy

Looking forward to Mulan and James Bond. I will be streaming them rather than going to the cinema, as it will be cheaper and much easier for me. I'm disappointed that Moshu won't be in the Milan remake but I think it will still be a good film.

I'm going to be reading the reviews of Bill and Ted first before I get my hopes up. I loved those films when I was teenager. The words 'excellent' and 'dude' were much over used by me and my friends at the time. I still do say excellent and dude.. try not to. ๐Ÿ˜€

Looking forward to watching Mulan and everybody's talking about jamie. I'm going to go watch everybodys talking about jamie in theatre next year so hoping the film will be just as good as the theatre production

I saw a preview of the The Lighthouse earlier this month. It's very good, but will only appeal to people that enjoy independent/ arthouse style films. The films I want to see the most on this list are Jojo Rabbit, James Bond, Bill & Ted and Dune.

Nothing there for me either. Remakes of films that stand the test of time and shouldn't be remade. Don't they have any original ideas? I prefer acting rather than CGI and watch lots of old films. ๐Ÿž

Same here, although I am not sure thereโ€™s much raw talent these days, as it does feel like a factory is churning out a lot of very samey samey actors

hspexy Absolutely spot on, I don't feel there is much acting talent out there either. To be honest, I think they usually look the same too, I can't tell them apart. When I see adverts for some so called celebrity programs I wonder who they are as they certainly aren't a celebrity in my eyes. ๐Ÿž
