Air Purifier Suggestions?!
Ask a Question
My daughter suffers from severe eczema and have recently found out that she is allergic to dust (along with many other things). We already hoover all surfaces possible twice daily, bedding changed twice weekly, dust regularly and windows open, so I'm looking to buy an air humidifier. Cost wise I'm not worried, will max out credit card if needs be, but I want to make sure I'm getting the best one as hoping it will help her skin, any suggestions/reccomendations?!
Hi cjevans
We have a Philips 2-in-1 air purifier and humidifier AC3829/60, and it is great.
The cons are that you'll have to buy new filters every year. Generic ones are usually not really cheap compared to Philips ones, but we always can find good deals on Amazon. It uses 3 different filters, so you can expect to spend about £30 each every 12 months or so.
The price is about £450 but you always can find good deals/cashback/vouchers.
Cheers
cjevans It is excellent during the winter (heating on) since the air became very dry, and it keeps the humidity between 40 and 60% (depending on what you choose). I researched a lot, and it is one of the few purifiers with the humidifier function. I think Dyson also has a similar model, but it is more expensive.
This is on Amazon and has a £10 off voucher deal. It’s done wonders for my breathing both Day and night. So much so I’ve not needed to switch it on daily as seems to have took care of matters after a bit of ‘intensive use’ PARTU Air Purifier for Home with True HEPA Filter, 3 Speeds, Night Light & Filter Change Reminder, Portable Purifiers 99.97% Bacteria, Allergens, Dust, etc 100% Ozone Free https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07L9R9W8P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_ZVJ5SEANJYR874A94AZV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
We have one of these due to me having asthma and COPD. The only downside is that it can a bit noisy when it's on full blast.
we bought this one from amazon a few months ago and it is brilliant. They have £15 off on amazon at the moment. Just click the discount box and it is applied at the checkout.
cjevans your welcome. I am really happy with it. It definitely clears the air and the 3 speed settings are great as well
I also suffer from asthma & I recently bought one this one https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/eap120hc/electriq-eap120hc
It's really quiet and you can put it on a timer.I would recommend this and it was only £49.97 and ideal for a bedroom.
