Amazon Prime Delays in Deliveries

Ask a Question

Anyone else paid for prime delivery for next day delivery only to be told its running late by few days.

Get there are delays etc but shouldn't have it as prime delivery if can't deliver next day especially when it's birthday gift.

Have you noticed there is a pandemic ? Are Amazon drivers/ workers immune from the virus ?

Prime so I have been told is not always next day delivery they removed this some time ago (there are still some next day items) I personally almost half expect deliveries to be delayed during this pandemic, lots of people under extra pressure. It is worth chatting with Amazon on live chat and they may extend your prime for free or give credit for not delivering when they should.

Yes. We have. It's strange but we only recently went over to prime and we have had more problems since making the change than we ever had in the many years beforehand. We made a formal complaint but these days complaints are ignored in the name of covid!! We are going to be opting out before the next payment is due!

This comment could be just two words: "Force Majeure" but I'll waffle on a bit more by asking what do people expect after a few holidays when things have to catch up?

"Force majeure, sometimes, but erroneously, referred to as force majure, is a common clause in contracts which essentially frees both parties from liability or obligation when an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of the parties, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, epidemic or an event described by the legal term act of God, prevents one or both parties from fulfilling their obligations under the contract".

From Wikipedia - there's even more if that doesn't explain adequately: 😀 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_majeure

In normal times 95 % of prime is next day if It says it is but people who work in warehouses have to keep socially distanced

Everything is taking bit longer with constant washing of hands too. I just accept they doing there best and try to order things earlier to compensate
