What is It with Animals and Toys?
Ask a Question
As some of you know, I have a Jack called Harvey.
Now he has 6 different balls, all similar shape and design and different colours.
If we're playing ball and the toy goes over the fence or through the gate, Harvey just will not play with another ball until we get his current one back.
Why?
Why is one ball different than the other?
I'd understand, but he chooses a different ball every day, but that day's ball is that day's ball....... NO SUBSTITUTE ALLOWED
I mean I can substitute Pinot Grigio for Chardonnay in the same day, so what's their problem?
Our Jack Russell is the same. If you throw any other ball than the one she has chosen to play with then she simply won't chase after it. Like Harvey, she has a number of balls and picks a different one every day! Maybe it is a Jack thing
TheChimp he's a discerning pooch I reckon dogs and cats are far more intelligent and stubborn than we give them credit for.
This is one of his favourite balls because it has a squeak in it. He has two EXACTLY the same, but if you try to swap one for the other, he will not have it.
we have enough dog toys to restock pets@home, yet my 2 will play tug of war with one particular toy until they either get bored or the toy is ripped in half.
