Can Anyone Recommend a Good Garlic Press/crush Tool.

Ask a Question

Hi so I have wanting to buy a garlic presser/crusher however they seem a bit hit and miss in reviews with most breaking on first use.

If any one has one that they would recommend please share below thank you.

I personally don't find crushers easy to clean, I grate my garlic with a fine cheese grater and i works fab and is easier to clean. Have you tried? You might prefer it to a crusher too 😊

Oh thank you no I've not tried using a grater but I will give it a go as I already have one at home.

G0501 yes I will do hopefully using the grater will save me from buying more useless gadgets which will enevitably end up in the endless doomed kitchen drawer of other kitchen tools never to be seen again lol.

I agree with G0501 that crushers are difficult to clean. I use a mini grater for garlic, frozen chillis and cheese. Don't pay any more than £1 for them. The picture is from Kitchen Craft and they sell them for 99p - so much easer to scrape down and clean.

I got one from ProCook years ago and it’s still going strong. It looks like they don’t sell them anymore though unfortunately. Stainless steel ones last much longer than ones with plastic handles which seem much more common though, if you do decide to get one.

I purchased one from John Lewis for my mum a few years ago that kinda rolled. It wasn’t cheap but looked good unfortunately my mum never made one comment about it. It was called Chef'n Garlic Zoom, Garlic Chopper but they don’t do it anymore.

I had an expensive one that worked great but my daughter threw it out because it was too hard to clean I usually use a fine nutmeg/parmesan grater
