Is Anyone Vegan or Did Veganuary?

Other

Anyone Vegan? Do you do it for health reasons or for animal rights reasons? Why or why not? Do you associate a pig on a farm with the bacon on your plate? I don't really, which is probably why I eat so much meat. :/

Alkaline Vegan is the best diet to protect ourselves against diseases. With a Alkaline Vegan diet you will have more natural energy while feeling mentally and physically better.

Never heard of this. How does this work? What kind of food do you have to eat? Any scientific proof?

zerocenturyzero That really doesn't prove anything. It doesn't have any merit. It's just a new article with a man allegedly curing disease not a blind controlled study.

zerocenturyzero None of thr articles actually mention what method he used to cure people or how he did it. It just states that he did. They does not explain anything about an Alkaline vegan diet or anything.

GlitchHunter I am still learning about the Alkaline vegan diet. I do not have the scientific evidence but this video is interesting

Vegan movement is big at the minute. I can't do it. I love my all my meats too much! I eat virtually everything in balance. I have tried to cut carbs to loose weight but I noticed it made me highly irritable

I like bacon too much and I try not to eat much red meat but veganism is not for me. don't mind others doing it if they want to

"Veganuary" that sounds pretty corny.

It's not like it's even done natural but like for a month and then back to the usual food. I guess that makes those who participate in that challenge feel good 'cause "I'm in support of animal rights!". But then the next month he's back to eating meat and fish. 😆

I mean, I've seen pigs being killed in front of me and chickens too but I didn't feel bad or remorse about it.

It kinda bugs me when I'm eating meat and think "this poor pig died and he's my food now." and then I'm all like "tastes soooo good!". lol

Meat and dairy are very filling, I am sure I would feel healthier just eating fruit and veg but I would be very hungry.

Im now fully vegetarian, and eat a lot of plant based foods, but couldnt quite go fully vegan as i love cheese and have yet to find a decent alternative that doesn't cost a fortune. Quite happy eating dairy though so no need to go fully vegan just yet

I can't do it. I've basically cut out meat, we have roast chicken once a month, i only have almond milk, but the cheese/cream cheese substitutes were the line for me, I must have tried over 10 types, none of them did it for me 🙃💖💖💖

We both eat meat almost everyday and wouldn't stop doing so. We know all about animals being meat for food and which animal is on our plates etc. We also have a great butcher not too far away.

I take it we are going to follow 'veganuary' with 'MeatMarch' so that those who don't usually enjoy meat are offered the chance to try it?!

No. I couldn’t live with a diet that has to add essential vitamins artificially to foods. I am happy to reduce meat intake for health and environmental reasons, although I am not convinced those highly processed meat substitutes are either more healthy or better for the environment.

I'm doing a half-arsed vegetarian diet at the moment. I don't eat meat on Tuesday or Wednesay but I'm still eating cheese which isn't strictly vegetarian but hope to increase the number of days I stay vegetarian over time as I adapt my diet. I've only been doing it about 3 weeks so far.
