Anything You Really Fancy Doing, but It Goes against Gender Stereotypes?

Other

I know in this day and age we can pretty much do anything we like, as long as it's legal.

But often Gender Stereotypes prevent this, mainly in our own minds.

As a Fifty year old man, mine is -

I've always wanted to try out a bath bomb 🛀 💣

blacklabrador What's stopping you? https://www.heavenlybubbles.co.uk/men-den Just don't use the ones with rose buds in, they get everywhere!!

Wow, a whiskey smelling one!

Could be the only time I can turn up at the pub smelling like I've been preloading.

As for the rosebuds, that was kind of my concern, imagine trying to get glitter or some such off, I'd need a shower to recover from the bath.

blacklabrador you've gotta go for it! There are so many males that use facial moisturiser as part of their daily routine and are realising the benefits. We won't ask for photographic proof but you need to to come back to this with a 'ticked off the list' update. 😁

I have been known to slap on some moisturiser, I just never knew men's bath bombs were a thing.

I've seen these ones before as well https://bombcosmetics.co.uk/man-grenade-blaster-w-l but making 'manly' bath bombs isn't going against gender stereotypes is it?

Do it! To hell with gender stereotypes! They really don't mean anything and absolutely shouldn't stop anyone from doing anything, be it small or big! Enjoy your bath bomb 🙂

Go for it but consider they can leave a lot of mess in the bath! as lilyflower says especially the flower bud ones. Why not try a hot chocolate bombe instead - same experience but in a mug 😜

That could work, I best not have it in the bath though, knowing me I'd drop it and then end up smelling like a Mars bar.

Which raises another bath related question - do people really have a glass of wine or some such while in the bath?

I get the whole candles, calming music and bubbles thing, but I don't really get the eating or drinking.

blacklabrador I don't get it either or reading in the bath, not a relaxing experience imo

You should totally do it! Who cares what anyone else says?? What's going to happen if you use a bath bomb? If you don't want anyone to know they probably won't find out anyways, hope you get to try a bath bomb, there are some mens ones on heavenly bubbles that I bought for my boyfriend for Christmas/

Weird thing is I've purchased bath bombs before as presents for female members of family, just never knew mens ones were a thing

Bath bombs from lush are the best 😍 lots of men do use them! I personally wouldn’t let gender stereotypes stop me from doing anything.. I think nowadays, men quite like women who play / love football, drink beer, play pool etc 🤷🏻‍♀️

Absolutely, and the good thing is that when women know about football, they really know about football.

I frequently do a lot of DIY and manual work in the house which seems to be something a lot of other women find surprising.

They do and why not! my wife loves diy and she can crack on if she is happy, while shes doing that i could go run and bath and fill it with bath bombs and fizzle.

You shouldn't have gender stereotypes. Do what ya want regardless of gender. You would actually be surprised how many men use bath bombs or so called stereotypical woman's beauty products. I use my wifes creams and lotions in the bathroom, granted i do get wrong sometimes if i waste it lol, because it smells nice and i don't care what someone thinks. Fill a bath and put 30 ******* bath bombs in it and stick your middle finger up to anyone who thinks its wrong cause it ain't and the people who thinks its wrong are wrong!!
