Ive noticed that there seems to be deals being put on here for Adult ‘toys’.
I don’t think that this so called family friendly site is the place for these types of items to be shown. I know you probably have to be 18+ to sign up to Latest deals but you could for instance be at home with a young child or grandchild browsing the deals for an early Christmas present only then to come across these items. I’ve asked Latest deals to look into this but no reply from them.
So i thought I’d ask members their thoughts on this.
Is it Or is it not acceptable to post these types of deals?
I've got no problem with the deals, we're all grown ups after all.
If admin starts moderating these posts, it's going to kill the site because then they will have to start moderating every Chat post.
I think that you are overreacting and as for your question, I think that it's totally acceptable.
I've seen these deals before, I've always just scrolled past them. If the admins thought these types of deals were inappropriate then they would delete them or have them flagged as a bad URL so they couldn't be posted. There are deals for pretty much everything on here.
You can filter what deals you see, so could easily hide them if looking for something specific.
Yes I've seen these , no objection in principle , but these aren't deals - full stop !
However 95% of "deals" posted on here aren't deals . If the site will not remove "non deals " in general why would it for "adult toy " non deals ?
We have many members who post exactly 3 "non deals " and 3 "vouchers " every single day , under multiple usernames (obviously against the site rules ) . I would prefer Latest Deals banned these so called members first ?
TheChimp Not a new hump , as I said, just my long held "hump " in general against "non deals " in whatever category . We have to accept that the site has a limited moderation capacity and can't even spot the numerous "multis " seasoned members can all spot .
Same, they are deals and there's no need to ban or do something about these. These won't ever be close to the majority anyways,
I think they should hide item with logo of that website then kids want notice I am not allowed to mention I can only say somewhere else they did it recently I will advise our mentor they do same as well just don’t show item on LD ad there website logo if it’s possible Thanks.
Are you serious whinging about these types of deals. If it's a bargain people are going to buy them and if googled cheap 
then a site to latest deal will take them there that's how this site works.

Thanks for making me giggle Ann1984. After reading through the chat posts tonight from A certain member who is again swinging that same old club I was beginning to ask myself why I bother reading the chats BUT you have reminded me why I love this site so much

Ann1984 I find your profile picture to be rather offensive to alcoholics who are trying to give up the booze, because your pic has the word "wine" on it. For that reason, you should change it immediately. 
The good thing about LD is that there is something on here for everyone, including adult toys. As long as the adult toys are nothing illegal then I don't really see why they should get taken down. I do agree that children shouldn't really be seeing that sort of thing (though we can't protect them from the outside world forever), but you can easily filter out anything you don't want yourself or your child to see, as well as ensuring that your child doesn't use the internet unaccompanied by a sensible adult.
These kind of deals have always been allowed, and I doubt this will change, as all that is being posted are ‘deals’ and not anything offensive. It’s funny that sometimes if I post a deal that has a bit of human flesh, it automatically goes into moderation - which often happens with some clothing items
I don't have an issue with adult toy deal posts on LD. They are much more mainstream now and available on the high street. There has also been a significant increase in sales of this type of product as a result of COVID-19. There will be people looking for deals on this type of product.
Nothing wrong with adult toys can be good fun for couples especially when bought on offer
Thank you for your message. Latest Deals is a community website and there was a group decision a while ago to accept adult products such as adult toys. The vast majority of our members are over the age of 21. Pornography or anything with explicit imagery or nudity is not accepted. If you have spotted something, please email us a link and we will review it.
Similar to how Amazon, Argos and even Poundland sell items for both children and adults (including adult toys such as vibrators), LatestDeals.co.uk also accepts these deals on our site as long as they do not break our guidelines.
