Baked Beans Recalled because They May Contain Rubber Balls, Whats Happening

Ask a Question

What is going on with food manufacturers here at the moment ??

We have another food recall to add to the many over the last few months

This times it is baked beans from Asda , Sainsburys and Tescos because they might contain small 'rubber balls'

It either seems to be animal parts or other foreign objects that are appearing in various foods lately during packaging on production lines

So it is a question of who is doing this or what's causing it , sabotage or machinery breakdown ?

We never seem to get an explanation

But this goes to show all the baked beans are produced or packaged in one place here and distributed to the different supermarkets

It does make you wonder what's going on and yes this just shows that these beans are all produced in the same place!

'The balls, about 2.5cm in diameter, are a choking hazard and have been found in tins of beans sold at three major UK supermarkets.' That's quite large for an accidental ball!

I suppose if you ate them you would be bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! Image

Yup it makes you wonder eho is being employed that things are getting in. Is it done on purpose, broken machinery or staff not being trained properly

I was gonna say maybe vegetarians sabotaging food to make a point, but as baked beans are vegetarian I reckon it is just plain nutjobs who are discontent with their lives and want others to suffer!

telmel Did you know, a can of baked beans in Spain/Portugal costs €0.99 which is 85p, and it's not as good as British baked beans. That's quite expensive for store brand baked beans.

I do wish they had baked beans for the prices sold in the U.K.

telmel Yep, that's the branded Heinz although it's not worth buying Heinz beans anymore as they're inferior to store branded.

Probably pass straight through and would need to be a fair bit bigger to get stuck or choke yer.I prefer giant beans in sauce .The Greek Gigantes Plaki put ours to shame. Our baked beans are seriously over rated . Image

Not for some M

They can get quite emotional over them

But maybe they should change it to ''Beans mean Rubber''

It's crazy I don't know how rubber balls end up in beans. I can't find out what date of the Branston beans are affected. There's also the Tesco finest apple and cranberry stuffing that has MOTHS in it!! Then frozen garden peas from Tesco that have an UNKNOWN BERRY in them!! So could potentially kill you. I don't know what's happening at the moment.

We don’t like them anyway but it’s worrying how many recalls are being made and for contamination reasons. I suspect it’s cost of living and maintenance of machinery. That’s my guess.

I think it's a combination of sabotage and machinery not functioning/maintained properly 😬
