I have been to a lot of hotels in Blackpool and there has only been one that was horrible and unclean. But it got shut down. There was two incredible hotels in particular. But unfortunately I cannot remember their name. One was opposite the tram station where the people were lovely and it was very close to the illuminations, you can see the tower from the bedroom window. The other is right behind the Blackpool tower. The couple who owned the hotel were so lovely. Once when I came back drenched in rain they let me warm up by the fire place and made me a free hot chocolate with marshmallows
Iv stayed at The Metropole hotel on 4-5 occasions. My brother used to live in Blackpool & I usually stayed there when visiting him. It was good enough hotel for my need to lay my head for a night. A little dated but clean & cheap. I found the entertainment/bar boring. My last visit was the least impressive, My room that time was situated at the front of the hotel, right across from a nightclub.
the 2 best ones depending on your point of view, one is the camelot at the south beach, its good because its clean, small, u get to pick what u want on your breakfast plate, good for couples and less drunks knocking around has no lift, and has the nicest host ever b&B, the 2nd one is the st chads hotel, breakfast and 3 course tea, if you lucky u can get extras, best for old people or if want a nice chilled out hotel its clean and big lots of lifts, and a venue at the bottom which is alreet,
theres a 3rd called the viking, ive never been to it tho because the outside looks boring, but aparently it has the venue and food but its expensive, and from outside looking in those rooms look small
