I'm saving a lot as although my income has decreased by a lot, my outgoings are a lot less. I normally spend around £100 a month on petrol and so now I don't have that expense. Plus, I'm not spending any money on eating out so I'm saving money and eating healthier by planning meals and cooking at home. The only things I've spent money on since lockdown is my direct debits and food shopping, not bought anything else. I've been doing surveys on survey sites to try and make a little extra too.
I am saving around £700 on nursery and £300 on trains travel to work a month , not buying much only food shopping and maybe few items if a good deal , so really my general monthly spending dropped by around £300 so total of monthly saving is £1300 since lock down , plus just saved £7000 as our holidays to California got cancelled
