What Are the Best Supermarkets for Yellow Stickers?
Ask a Question
I have shopped at Waitrose for years due to my husband working for them and we used to get 50% discount on yellow sticker items. Since he has retired we now shop at Asda. We go on a Sunday at 2.30pm and get the most amazing deals. All the yellow sticker products are down to 10p and 20p. Can’t believe the bargains I have been getting. Family macaroni 20p, six pork coated chops 20p, bag of chicken 20p the list goes on. Where do you find the best deals like this?
Wow thats some great deals. Occasionally I see deals similar in many shops including coop convenience stores if you get the timing right. I think the best discounts I've come across from a large supermarket is Morrisons but don't think they were quite as good as you have stated.
BonzoBanana I have noticed it is not all the Asda stores, really not sure why it goes so cheap but I am not complaining.
Morrisons is the best I’ve found for deals like that but unfortunately it’s not very close to my house so I haven’t been able to take advantage of them very often.
My local Tesco don’t reduce much at all - they only takes about 5p off each item. If they don’t sell for 5p off they donate them to food banks instead. I like that they donate what doesn’t sell, but it’s making it more difficult to afford the price increases for sure since you can’t get anything really discounted there anymore.
cocolgooh I was in my local Tesco recently and a member of staff was helping a customer fill his trolley with all the discounted food, I did wonder if it was all going to some charity.
eyeballkerry I dont know if they all do it or not, but it sounds like they do if you’ve seen it too. It’s good to make sure the food is going to get used by people that need it.
I think it varies depending on where you live. I very rarely find Yellow stickers as good as that but I do find good ones. I look in Lidl, Aldi, Asda and Tesco Astley are the supermarkets near us. M&S is pretty good for discounts.
