What Are You Hoping To Buy On Black Friday?
Ask a Question
What is everyone wanting to buy on Black Friday?
we are waiting to buy a Switch
I want some Apple Airpods Pro.
They are currently £250 on the Apple website, and £209 on Amazon.
I'd like them to hit £180 before I bite.
Be very careful you don't buy any that are TOO cheap, there were many amongst the £5million's worth of Apple products stolen in the hi-jacking of a truck.https://www.aol.co.uk/news/2020/11/17/apple-products-worth-a-5m-stolen-in-lorry-hijacking-on-m1-slip-r/
davidstockport Ah yes, I read about that.
If I remember rightly, when the looting kicked off in New York, Apple said that any Apple items stolen would be tracked.
I wonder if the same will happen in this instance.
blacklabrador I'm reasonably certain that any stolen phone will be tracked as soon as switched on (and also dectivativated). I'm not too sure about the Airpods - but who knows
I doubt anyone who has bought a stolen one will be running to the authorities if they find they've bought something that doesn't work.
Famous last words.
I wasn't going to buy anything on Amazon Prime day - An echo show, 2 smart plugs and 2.4kg of Celebrations later , I was scratching my head.
Same here. Why bother just because everyone else is doing it? Buy things when you want to. 'Black Friday' is an American term anyway.
blacklabrador I love Celebrations. Got to have those every Christmas without fail.
RegularComper90 I think with 2.4kg though I may be sick of the sight of them by January
blacklabrador Whenever you do get sick of the sight of them, feel free to let me know.
I ideally want to buy a new Ultra HD TV but our old plasma TV is still going strong, it's at least 13 years old and my hubby is firmly in the camp that if it's not broken....I keep telling him about offers & I am hoping there will be such a good bargain he will relent, but I am not holding out much hope
I am really happy with all the things I have at the moment so I don't really need anything. If I could choose one thing I would like to buy it would probably be the charlotte tilbury advent calendar
I haven't got anything in mind but am hoping for some deals or inspiration to finish off my Xmas shopping
I’m keeping my eye out for a Shark vacuum. I got one on Amazon Prime Day and love it. If they are reduced again, I will get one for my daughter
Keep your eye on the different retailers for popular stuff - Amazon Echoes , Sharks , Dysons , Philips Hue , Teles etc . Amazon and the bigger retailers normally follow each others prices so you will get an identical item from say John Lewis or Richer Sounds at the same price but with a much longer and better guarantee.
The camels (and your own common sense ) are your friends for Black Friday . Research your prices now (to be fair you should have done so already ) .
Don't be swayed by "massive 30% off for Black Friday " could well have been sold for 50% off for the majority of the year !
I've got my Black Friday deal already - A king size mattress ! Lowest price its ever been by some margin .
Know the worth and current price of what you are looking for , don't be swayed by made up discounts and enjoy .
I will doubtless buy stuff I don't want /need , but it'll be stuff that will be a genuine bargain (even if I never take it from the box ) !
Loads of retailers have started their Black Friday deals already.
I've bought a few Christmas gifts already (Nike, Very, Boots, Currys) and have just bought a Shark vacuum cleaner.
One way to find which retailers have early deals is via the Black Friday tag
I’m looking to get some motion sensor LED lights to use at night and in the bedrooms. There’s several sets that look good that are around £30 but I’m hoping to pay closer to £20. If they’re not reduced then I’ll go with one of the sets I’m looking at anyway!
Just bought us a new washing machine from Currys (Black Friday offer).
I know that the 'usual' price was inflated, but I think that I got an ok deal.
Would love a new iPhone, but I hate that the price for Apple products are the same in both £ and $. So we pay so much more for a product coming out the same factory in China.
