Black Pudding on Breakfast

Ask a Question

Does black pudding belong on a full English breakfast for me it’s a must, if I go to a cafe and order it’s the first extra added

Definitely.

It's very hit and miss with people though. I think it's the thought that it's basically pig's blood.

If I do have black pudding, I have to have beans to go with it.

I love a full English but not the black pudding

It's not fair to mention bacon though makes me hungry

I’ve never seen it in any standard English breakfasts I’ve ordered in the past, so that’s why I never got to try it until a few years ago - and boy, have I been robbed! Wish I got to try it earlier in life

Love black pudding. We always go to Morrisons for the ultimate breakfast and you get 2 bits of black pudding on it. My son always steals one of mine.

It depends on the quality of the black pudding. There’s some hideous stuff out there but also some amazing black puds

dawarwick I'm not too fond of Scottish black pudding, they put too much nutmeg in it.

As you say, there's some good ones and some right rotters.

I love a bit of black pudding. Don't think it's a given that it would be on a breakfast but it's a definite bonus if it is.

I've never had British black pudding, I should try it and see if I like it. My mum used to serve some when I was young, French black pudding looks more like sausages you eat with mash or potatoes. I think I liked it at the time, I didn't know what was in it 😂
