A Boa Snake Fined in Family Garden
In the News
A family got there shock of there life when there son told his dad there s a snake in the garden. It turn out to be a 7 foot boa. They family quickly went back in closed the door and phone the spca. It's now in there care. And are looking for its owner. I would have gone to pices I hate snakes. I would of not gone out in the garden. He was a very brave man. What would you have done. Would you have gone out and check or like me stayed in doors and waited for help to come.
I would of gone to check thinking my son was playing a prank, then i would of screamed and ran back inside
Hi catherinejames you are more beaver then me. I Would not gone and looked. I would have got some one else to have a look. For me.
Hi agnesfaludi yes that's what I would be doing to. Just can't stand snakes. They give me nightmares.
AgnesFaludi and they said it was not fully grown yet. So if it's 7 foot what size will it be when it's stoped grown. Dos not bear thing about. And how did it get out. The own was not looking after it for it to get out.
I probably be like u but curiosity would have taken over so I would have looked out the kitchen window 2 see if it's true
Hi Billie. Never thought about to look out the window. I think I would be curiosity just to see what it was up to. But that's it. I would stay in the house UNTILL it was gone.
I would have probably gone over and picked it up to check it was ok!
I'm sure it would have been someone's pet that had escaped so there's a good chance it would have been friendly (I hope )
I'm not scared of snakes at all, I do want one but i don't have the room for a big enough vivarium at the moment.
I do however, have a couple of other exotic pets not sure many people will approve of me posting pictures of them though haha!
Hi littlelisamarie you are very brave. I would not like to have to handle it. What are your two exotic pets do you have. If you like snaks you could get a corn snake. A lot of people have them has pets. And you don't have to have a large vivarium. And they don't grow big. Not sure what they eat. I think I will stick with my budgie s and dogs. Much more cuddly.
nicolajaynehend I do like corn snakes too.
I've got a few of the 8 legged variety pets. not sure if you're fond of giant furry spiders lol, but I can post a couple of pictures if you wanted to see them.
LittleLisaMarie yes please that would be lovely. What are there names and age. Thank you for doing it.
nicolajaynehend of course.
This is the first one I had 6 years ago, she's a female and I called her gizmo
This one is honey, i have had her about 4 years now. she got her name because she's got golden stripes on her legs.
This one is Phoenix, I have also had her about 4 years.. she got her name because of her orange/red knees.
LittleLisaMarie oh she is cute. What kind is she. She looks black and brown. Are they easy to look after. Love her name.
This one is curly wurly because she's really furry.. My niece gave her the name about 4 years ago lol.
LittleLisaMarie gosh this one looks big. But she is cute. Again love the name.
nicolajaynehend she is a mexican red knee tarantula or in scientific terms, brachypelma smithi (I can't pronounce it )
She is very pretty in colour, she's still a youngster compared to some of the others.
nicolajaynehend the curly one is a curly hair or in scientific terms, grammastola albopilosum (very hard to pronounce the scientific names )
LittleLisaMarie she dos not look like a spider. She is cute. I've never seen fur on a spider be for. And I live her name to. Are they friendly. And dos your partner like them.
And this is my big girl, princess (again my niece named this one too ) She is fully grown and just about fits in my both hands, I'm guessing she's around 20 years old. I had her 5 years ago.
LittleLisaMarie thank you every so much for showing me them.are they hard to keep. And are they friendly
LittleLisaMarie my she is a big girl love her colours. Her name suites. Her. You got a lot of lovely spiders. What do you feed them on.
nicolajaynehend They are really easy to keep, just feed them a mealworm or cricket every 2 weeks or so and make sure they have fresh water regular.
My partner likes them, he helps out feeding etc.
They are friendly enough, I don't really get them out the tanks or anything (unless they climb out and then I'll let them climb on my hand to put them back) they're pretty fragile and can hurt themselves very easily if they fall. They have pretty big fangs but they will barely use them if possible, they would rather kick irritating hairs at you instead (Phoenix is a pain in the bum for doing it lol)
LittleLisaMarie has any of them had babys. Or you just kept them has pets. Like I would.
LittleLisaMarie that's nice that your partner likes them and helps you out. Phoneniix is small cute one . Will you be getting any more. I did not now that they only eat evey 2 weeks gosh.
nicolajaynehend no, no babies lol.. they can lay thousands of eggs and knowing my luck, they would somehow get out and I would be over run with them haha.
nicolajaynehend Phoenix seems to be everyone's favourite, she's really pretty.. but can be a little drama queen sometimes and flick itchy hairs at me.
I would not believe & probably stupidity gone to have a look because of not believing
Then I would freak out and run in & stay in doors.
