Book Suggestions for my Sons?
Ask a Question
Hi guys as you all know all schools are closed I would like my son's to spend their time wisely any suggestions
It's unlikely the three year old can read too well, I can't remember the title but one I read when a little older than three (possibly 4) was about a cat sitting on the mat.
As for fifteen year olds, it's my opinion that it doesn't matter what they read - as long as they do read, and it's best they read things they find interesting, which encourages them to read more.
When mine were younger we had a full set of Usborne Books - Farmyard Tales, these had the same story running through them twice, one simple word - large writing, one much longer sentences in normal writing and lovely pictures. Get the 15 year old to read to 3 year old, keeps them both occupied and hopefully makes the elder feel useful.
Get them to search what Bargain Bin books by their favourite author(s) there are at Awesome Books.
With this deal they can buy a book for just £1.50 with free delivery.
I had an email last night saying the libraries are closing in my county, so that's library books out then. Books can be found cheaply on amazon second hand, ebay, Abe books (I think that's the name of the site) and world of books who I have ordered many, many second books from.
With my 3 year old I will be printing out some letter tracing and practicing abc shapes colours numbers amazon few weeks ago had some fab books now since this virus has come around they disappeared or are 3 times the price
If the 15 year old likes computers, the future, sciencey / spacey things... I very much recommend Frank Herbert's Dune series.
