'Buy Your Christmas Toys Early This Year' Was Just On The TV News
Ask a Question
They have been advising people to buy their Christmas toys early this year, will you be bothering to do that yourself, not everybody is going to be able to afford to do that at the moment though are they!
I've started buying presents, going to start wrapping next week. I buy slowly, looking for good deals along the way. I have some Amazon and love 2 shop vouchers but will still have to buy some close to time but not so close as to pay extra p&p
That's smart and a very good system Imnotcheap , it saves all the stress and panic but have you been buying any toys, like they advise? x
Yes I've got some toys for my sons and their dad planning on doing my pressents and Christmas job list today JoTarpley
Imnotcheap It's the ideal weather for it at the moment if you've got days of non stop rain like me, have fun! x
I almost finished now with Christmas presents, as I am person who wants to be prepared. Got all for sale, used discount codes. Started my shopping already in September.
Wow, well done on that one NatalyKroxa you won't have to worry now thank goodness! x
I have bought all the presents and other things I need for Christmas. The only thing I need now is the food for Christmas dinner
Well done you Moonstone22 I'm wondering what state the shops will be in nearer the time food wise, you can buy in advance to freeze it but you can't freeze all Christmas food that's the trouble! x
JoTarpley That's exactly what I was thinking, I think it will be difficult to find things in a few weeks. Freezing food early is a good idea. I read on a newspaper that they are on low supply of turkey, stuffing and other Christmas side dishes this year which is worrying. It will be terrible after this year that people will be unable to find food for their Christmas dinners
Moonstone22 OMG it's all rather doom and gloom isn't it, plus the wet weather and dark nights, you need to be strong in the head to cope with all this! Keep smiling! x
JoTarpley Thank you for your kind comment. I agree with you, it is all down hill this year. We all must do our best to keep positive. Stay safe x
Better to get it done if you can afford it could not think of anything worse than Christmas shopping with the regulations thanks to deals on hear I've got mine finished and not spent as much as usual
I'm done shopping for this year. Got it all done early. My heart goes to those people who have lost their jobs to the pandemic and won't be able to stretch as far as gifts. Maybe Christmas this year will take the focus off stuff and put it back onto people.
I've already got all my sons Christmas presents sorted. I won an ELC voucher so I used it to buy his toys and put them away in the cupboard.
I save up my amazon vouchers from doing surveys and use them to get Christmas presents too.
I never go overboard on Christmas anyway and I try to spread the cost of it over the year anyway. I feel sorry for people that have lost their jobs and won't be able to afford presents etc this year.
we have started Christmas shopping and am generally adding one or two items a shop specifically for Christmas, and have the main wine shop coming this weekend taking advantage of Tesco 25% of 6 bottles. The only trouble is how much of it will actually last until Christmas. as for toys (well computer games) I have a list set up and will be watching prices - as soon as I see a fair deal then they will be purchased. I am a lot more organised this year!
Not sure if you have seen it, but somebody posted that Smyths Toys are having a half price sale, may be worth checking out
