Do You Buy Newspapers?

Ask a Question

Do you still buy newspapers? I read them all online now as so many of them are free.

chlobo85 I used to buy The Sun 7 days per week and The Daily Mirror on weekends. I stopped buying The Mirror during the first lockdown and couldn't believe how much money I had saved. I stopped buying The Sun daily (I only buy it on Saturdays, valve for money) since March this year and I have saved over £20 per month. I read most newspapers online.

No, I read them online as I do not live near a paper shop. Some newspapers charge for online reading.I think the Times is one of them.

Besides the local freebie that is put through the door I certainly don't bother with papers any more. Last time I bought and read a paper was in the days of visiting the local internet cafe to drink coffee and read the paper on a Sunday. Now everything I need is online of course and I don't need an Internet Cafe. How times have changed.

I always used to but not anymore, waste of money for my when money's this tight, I do however gather the coupons from any that are being thrown out at work, I have a nice little sum of nectar points gathered up from the codes on the back of the daily mail, ready to get some extra bits for Christmas with

Read Sheffield Star online, can only read 5 articles each week without signing up & paying a sum of money. If travelling by bus or train I always try & get a copy of the Metro..

When our daughter lived with us & was working Voluntary I used to get messenged with " Mum try & get a Metro" or Mum , "I've got a Metro so we don't need one"

On line I read Articles from Newspapers from all over Great Britain..

I actually never did, closest I did was buy game magazines with demo discs. They were £5/piece.

Those days are gone.

My 78 year old father's day doesn't begin until he gets his paper. His grandchildren are 20, 24. They have never bought a newspaper or watch TV.

I have never purchased a newspaper. My mum and both my nans used to get one each every day. It was only yesterday my daughter and I were saying how behind they are with the latest news of the day.
