I have kids so I prefer leather as can easily wipe it. On the other hand my mum has cats so in the past they have completely ruined her leather so now she has opted for fabric. I guess you should look at your needs first and then go by that

I'm not big fan of leather as it sticks to your legs in summer if wearing shorts

i have 5 kids and i prefer leather. i can wipe them down, hoover off easily, usually they have an opening at the back you can lift to clean them out.

i know fabric covers can be washed but leather means i just dont have to be so **** about everything.

also i hated it when guests lent there cups on the arm with the fabric, im not bothered with the leather lol

I have leather sofas. It is easy to wipe them clean. I've got a dog and a toddler so they get messy easily, easy to wash away muddy paw prints from leather! I do have throws which I use when people come over if I haven't had time to wipe them beforehand. I don't think I would have fabric again whilst I have a dog, not unless I had washable covers.
