BYE-BYE Amazon Pantry! HELLO Amazon Morrisons Prime Now!
Bye-bye Amazon Pantry. Hello Morrisons Prime Now.
Reading between the lines I see Amazon Pantry closing at the end of June, co-inciding with a huge expansion of the Morrisons and Amazon Prime Now grocery delivery service across London and most major UK cities.
When is Amazon Pantry closing?
Amazon Pantry is closing at 11:59PM on Tuesday 30th June 2020.
Amazon say they are working to deliver the best possible customer experience. Most of your favourite Amazon Pantry bestsellers will soon be available on Amazon.co.uk with faster delivery and no minimum spend, along with the thousands of low-priced everyday products already available.
What's happening with Amazon & Morrisons?
Morrisons and Amazon are expanding their same-day, Prime Now online grocery delivery service to Prime members - covering most of London and more cities across the UK, that they have been testing for the past few months.
In March 2020 the service operated from 17 Morrisons stores in eight cities across the UK including Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
It has now been extended nationwide to over 40 stores, covering the largest cities. Most of these locations are live today and can be accessed by shopping the Morrisons store on Prime Now – either on the app, or at primenow.amazon.co.uk.
Prime Now customers in over 90% of Greater London postcodes as well as customers in the other ten largest cities by population including Edinburgh, Cardiff, and Bristol will now be able to order their Morrisons on Prime Now and have their goods delivered by Amazon on the same day.
Customers can choose from convenient delivery options including delivery at no additional cost within a two-hour window between 8am and midnight.
