Cadbury's Chocolate

Other

I just recently saw someone mention that they love Cadbury's chocolate which gave me an idea for a topic (no pun intended).

So what is everyone's views on the modern Cadbury's chocolate?

Personally it used to be my favourite, but now I can take it or leave it. My family and I loved our tins of Roses at Christmas, but we don't bother with them anymore. However, I still really like Wispas. But again, I don't think they are as good as they used to be.

I know it was taken over by an American company and they changed the recipe. I find it too oily now and all bars are smaller and thinner which somehow seems to detract from the flavour too. I used to love the large chunky bars. One piece would last ages, melting into a beautiful consistency you no longer get. I personally no longer eat anything with sugar, whole year now, and managed to reverse D2. Don't feel I am missing out anymore, but do miss a nice bit of cake!

Wow well done! That's an amazing achievement. I had gestational diabetes so I'm at risk of getting type 2. I've been trying to cut down my sugar but it's just too addictive. I cut down on starchy foods easily but chocolate and cake are almost impossible to cut out completely. I do still love cadburys but yes definitely preferred it before. I liked the big cadbury cubes 😂

The chunky blocked chocolate was really nice. I'm not into the more curvy shaped blocks.

I expect it is easier for me Tash as I live alone so do not have to worry about getting in treats for family. I make sure I am not hungry when I go supermarket shopping and I avoid the naughty aisles! I

I used to love a cup of tea but now, even after a year, cannot bear it without sugar, although strangely I can drink coffee without. I am now trying hard to cut down on carbs as my body seems to crave them to replace the sugar. Anyway, hope you keep happy and healthy and I would say to anyone with D2 that they have the power to help themselves and the medics, imho, are not really up to date with all the current research. I recommend reading Dr Michael Mosley.

I like all chocolate, so I'm happy to eat it, but I do prefer other brands 🍫 🍫

I can't eat chocolate. It makes me very poorly. And all so I do not like the smell of chocolate. 🌻🌻🌻

I'm with you on this, since they changed the recipe and the shape I don't eat much of it at all and would probably leave it rather than take it - which I couldn't say a few years ago. I don't know why they mess with a winning formula - are they mad?!

I love crunchies! Always have done, although it if more for the honeycomb rather than the chocolate! I don't actually eat that much chocolate and not a lot of cadburys anyway. I am more of a galaxy kind of person!

I think their chocolate is getting worst and worst....I loved the bar wit currants and nuts and than they changed the recipe and replaced the red currant with the cheaper raisins...yukk....

Their Quality Sweet box is not full anymore, the weight reduced, the quality bad and now...this year they made the box so thin...honestly???? Like this the box can not be re-used much.

I will look for the metal box....
