Take Me out Cancelled on ITV

In the News

My guilty cheese fest pleasure on Saturday nights. Cancelled due to declining viewing figures. I shall miss seeing the desperate of England trying to get a date. It's light out, all out. Image

Hated that programme so not surprised it's been cancelled. It was so obviously rehearsed and some of the double entendres made me cringe with embarrassment.

It would be so boring if we were all the same (and I totally understand your guilty pleasure 😂 ) but I didn't enjoy this programme and have been really surprised that it lasted this long.

I’m glad that’s been dropped. The girls were so full of themselves too glam, not a normal selection of kind loving women.

What I liked about it was the fact that it was do dumb. It is completely the opposite of what I watch, read, etc, so for me it was like looking at another planet. I thought it was hilarious.

I’ve never watched it, so I’m not surprised. I know for a fact it’s staged, as I know actors are used for the show - same goes for most shows

I watched the first series and then if there was nothing else on would watch. I got annoyed at how some of the women portrayed themselves, I didn't like that it was about vanity. I understand we pick our partners based on physical attraction, but the girls would dismiss a guy for the most vain reasons. It annoyed me too much to be enjoyable.

I didn’t mind it when it first came out for a but of light entertainment. Like most shows though it is staged to a certain extent. My boyfriend knew some lad that went on there Ed Aldersley, and he was dressed in clothes he would never wear like a pink jumper or something! So I think they may tell them what to wear and what to say!

I worked with a guy who had been on it. As soon as the pupils found out they took the mick out of him. Singing the theme song at him, shouting no likey no light, asking him what Paddy was like. We had to have an assembly about it!

MrsCraig oh no poor man lol! I don’t think I would risk going on a show like that in his position, imagine if he got a blackout and no date as well! x

AliceBell64468 it was during his teacher training year, but the mistake he made was telling people, he showed the video to his department, who showed it on the staff night out and it went round the school. The pupils were ruthless! X

Yes, all who took part wanted some attention and fame. People trying way too hard. all part of what I liked about it. People really set themselves up and ITV went with it. Some of the clowns on that show. I found it very, very funny. I'll miss it. I don't like reality tv or saturday night tv, so I'll be watching concerts on youtube.

I watched it when it first came out but not for years. I don’t hear anyone even talking about it anymore either. I think it’s run it’s course now

I didn't watch it when it first came about. probably for about 5 years now so I was late watching it. I thought Paddy was the perfect host for this show.
