Do You Do Any Cardio?

Ask a Question

I always thought a dash around the shops was sufficient exercise and getting in 10,000 steps. Apparently not! How do you make sure you get your cardio in for good physical health?

I just talk to my daughter, It definitely raises my heart rate and blood pressure. To be truthful, I find walking or cycling to be the best exercise depending how fit I feel determines the hill I attemp.

I walk my son to and from nursery every day and on the way I walk fast up the hill, that's enough cardio for me. I take the dog out too, that's plenty of exercise for me. I find housework is good cardio too.

If you are doing 10,000 steps just make sure that whilst walking you do it briskly enough to get moderately out of breath, that should do it for a normal, healthy person.

We walk our kid to nursery and there are quite a few hills but we still go a fast pace. We go skating when the weather permits. Otherwise do some workouts on YouTube.

Lately I’ve just been walking on the spot to hit my steps target to earn rewards - my fiancé thinks I’m mad!

I try and go for a walk every single day even if its a short walk to run some errands, I'm also really into yoga and pilates which is good for both your physical and mental health and would recommend it to anyone who wants to better their health 🙂

miaclare19 that's good, should really look into yoga and Pilates. Do you go to a class or do it at home?

Mskaur I was doing a membership at my yoga place which is just for yoga but I’m also going to try the Pilates classes at my local gym as I normally do that at home 🙂

My exercise is getting off the bus one stop earlier daily and walking around the various supermarkets, markets, etc without buying anything!

I exercise 4 days a week for 1-hour at a time I'm being doing it for the last 2 years. Treat yourself to an exercise machine watch your programs while you're on it it's easy and you will enjoy it once you get into it. About 2 years ago I was 16 stone and a BMI of 30 now I've got it down to 14 stone and 28 BMI and I just watch what I eat and still have doner kebabs on occasion and plenty of chips lol 😂
