Cash Less Society

what do people think of our socie slowly going cashless? Prefer it or not? Advantages/disadvantages?
I still like to carry some cash but use my cards in supermarkets and department stores. I also check my credit card bills and god help my husband if he hasn’t kept a receipt!
OMW! You made me laugh. I must be too honest for my own good. It's OK you secret is safe with me.......
In the countryside and the likes you'll still need to have cash if you want to eat, sleep or fill up the car.
But yes, cards are more convenient.
With so many High Street banks being closed around the country it seems we are all forced to be cashless. Sad but necessary. Cash always meant that you could offer a 'deal'. Those days have gone!
Glad I’m not the only one! I often find myself avoiding particular places for this reason as I never have cash
I am almost cashless now, very rare I ahve cash, but off on hols tomorrow so will be using it then.
My brother has been cashless for many years lol
I usually carry some cash just in case, but I rarely use cash - it’s cards for everything for me. Which sometimes I think it’s a shame, as the skills I’ve learned handling cash are redundant
I usually pay by debit card. I find contactless payment is really convenient. There are also a number of shops in my area that don't accept cash.
I always have a couple notes on me but usually use debit card on a day to day basis but i only use cash on an evening out & tend to leave cards at home. Mainly so I can stick to budget. One too many times after a few drinks & getting in the 'mood' iv over spent & regretted it the next day.
