What are the Effects of CBD Oil for Pain Relief?
Ask a Question
I bought some CBD oil (medium strength) to help with pain relief rather than popping prescription drugs.
I haven’t noticed any relief. Am I expecting too much?
Have you tried cbd yet?
First of all let me say I have no experience of CBD, but I was under the impression that there is no 'Active' ingredient in the oils and creams but are used more for cosmetic type reasons. Not for pain. Maybe someone else will have more experience of them and can tell you more.
I started taking CBD at the end of last year for sleep issues & It's done wonders for me. I would often have insomnia & even my good night's were broken. I now sleep deeper & throughout. It's been a miracle for me. I can't comment on pain as I don't use it for that but I assume you started on the lowest dose? I'm still taking 7 pipette drops a night. My understanding is over time you need to increase your dose. Everyone's body is different tho so perhaps you need to increase your amount.
Glitterandgold that’s good to hear. I’m pleased to know it’s working for some. I have 1000mg strength which I believe is a medium strength.
Pjran I also take 1000mg. 7 - 8 drops under tongue when I go to bed. My instuctions say you can take upto 28 a day tho once used to it. Iv just read your comments to Midnightflower. I'd say 2 sprays isn't nearly enough. I'd take her advice, increase your dose & see if that helps. Good luck! X
I use cbd for sleep and anxiety. It works well for me, but I've never used it to treat pain. I would recommend taking a higher does and seeing if it helps. How do you take the cbd? I believe dropping under your tongue is the best way to get it into your system.
Midnightflower ooh that’s wonderful. I’d love to sleep more, I spray two little drops under my tongue at bedtime.
Pjran, I'd try taking more about an hour before bed to see if it helps. Maybe start with 4 drops, and if you don't feel they help, have 2 more. I use about 5 drops at a time in the day to help with anxiety, I have ptsd so sometimes I feel like I'm having a heart attack and take a cbd tablet in the evening which helps me sleep.
Pjran thank you. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what sort of pain is it? I'm just wondering if it's for something like muscle or joint pain whether a CBD cream may be a better option.
Midnightflower joint pain mainly in my legs and left ankle. It’s difficult to get comfortable in bed and turn over. I do have prescription drugs but trying to wean myself from them.
Pjran it may be worth trying something like CBD bath salts or cream on the area of pain. I think unfortunately as CBD is still relatively new it's a bit hit and miss finding what works.
I’ve been taking 900mg cbd capsules for the last few years and I can honestly say the difference is unreal. It does take a few months to build up into your system, my joints and hands were in agony everyday and I couldn’t live without them now. They are expensive but worth every penny.
heatherduthie that’s lovely to hear you’re getting some relief. I’ve only been using the spray a couple of weeks, I’ll persevere until it’s used up.
Pjran try the capsules they are far better. My friend has fibromyalgia and she swears by them, she couldn’t get out of her bed in the morning without them
heatherduthie i will try them next but I bought two sprays for nearly £100 so I must use those first.
Pjran definitely. The ones I use are from healthspan £59.95 for a month's
supply but I do try to get a discount code
I’ve not, but I know people who swear by it, particularly those who have chronic conditions
