Charles Will Live in 'Flat above the Shop' as Palace Thrown Open to Public
Ask a Question
This article suggests that the Prince of Wales will overhaul the royal estates when he becomes King, and that Buckingham Palace will be open to the public all year around.
I have mixed emotions about this, I think it's a good idea to have an income for the upkeep of the property, but I think it will devalue it, if it just become just a tourism attraction. What are your views ?
I'm sure it would help myself and others if the article just referred to as "This article" was linked to. Or some details were given as to where the article can be found.
(I'll remove this when extra details are edited in).
Hi D, I have taken on board your feedback and added the link. I have previously been criticised by one member that they could read their own new stories, so I stopped adding the links
beccatavender At time of writing this reply to yours, there is still no link or indication of where "This article" is. Whilst a few members "might" have read the article referred to it doesn't mean we all have - so not much point just saying "This article" unless you copy and paste the full article*.
Take absolutely no notice of those who say you shouldn't post a link to articles that need to be referenced before being discussed - they don't know what they're talking about.
*I actually consider that, for copyright purposes, it is much better and safer to link to an article than to copy and paste it.
Best wishes
My point exactly there are too many totally misinformed people who are trying to tell people what they should and shouldn't do - and other totally misinformed people backing them up.
If Buckingham Palace does open all year round lets be positive about it generating employment and all the staff will pay tax etc plus spending whether commuting and everyday expenses. That’s got to be good for the economy.
