Chippy Launches 24 Carat Gold Fish Dinner That Costs £80

In the News

The price of fish and chips is at an all time high at the moment , but this chippy in glasgow thinks it is a good idea to make it more expensive by adding gold leaf to the tune of £80 per portion

As far as i am concerned fish and chips is the working mans lunch , i cannot see the champagne quaffing rich buying this as part of their dining itinery , maybe just as a one off to sample it

With so many struggling to put food on the table, and the use of food banks at an all time high, this could best be described as tone deaf!

telmel Yes I read that somewhere as well .Some say copper as well although many have it down as a poison. I think getting off my pc and getting out in nature is the best therapy of all.

Never saw what was so good about fish and chips, it's just fast food. Some don't even dry out the oil from it.

It's unpleasant, unhealthy, and even gross so much so I'd rather not eat if offered to.

Clearly a gimmick that’ll get a bit of advertising, only good for a few social media posts/pictures so someone can boast
