Do you have problems chopping onions that they make you cry? If so do you have any tricks that help. I know some people wear goggles or put a spoon in their mouth.

eyeballkerry I have problem when I cut onions someone told me few months ago if you put glass of water beside where you’re cutting onions it’s help you stop crying and soak onion in cold water then cut it both tips are useful for me.
Yes - my eyes are so sensitive, I can barely be in the same room as an onion being chopped I‘ve been known to wear sunglasses and have all windows / doors open.. maybe need to invest in some onion chopping goggles
I chop my onions (half an onion at a time) and then cover the chopped ones with kitchen roll so that the 'vapour' that comes off them doesn't go in my eyes. It works quite well for me unless I am doing a lot of them - because the vapour is also on the chopping board.
Always use a sharp knife. 99% of the time this will aide with no crying. However, you still have moments where the pesky onion wins
It's not a good look but a piece of bread held, half in and half out, in your mouth works every time.
