Christmas Dinner
Ask a Question
Is everyone having a traditional christmas dinner with Turkey like me.
Turkey or something else I'd like to hear what your having
Of Course! Can’t beat a traditional turkey roast Christmas dinner. I’m a very fussy eater but this is one meal I do enjoy and look forward to
We are going to have salmon this year as there will only be two of us. We are going to have the ‘full works’ dinner on the 29/12 when the family arrive.
we had intended being in Lanzarote for Christmas this year, but Ryanair changed the flights by 5 days
What a shame about your holiday. But good to see that your all going to still have your family time together. Enjoy
Tend to have both turkey and gammon, sometimes beef too. I'm curious to try goose one year - it's meant to be nice.
jackoam43 which one, goose? I've never tried it but I remember seeing a chef on TV (Jamie Oliver maybe) not understanding why more people don't eat it, because it's more flavoursome than turkey. Been curious ever since!
Yes the goose we had it in a restaurant in France I found it to be fatty, could of been the way they cooked it like but it put me off. MeestairChrees
No one is keen on turkey in my house so i tends to so only a leg for me and beef for everyone else.
I have traditionally cooked turkey but now offer beef as well. Got to have sprouts though whether they get eaten or not.
Traditional turkey and gammon with all the trimmings. I love it, despite always overeating and never getting help with the dishes from adult children
My son and family are away for Christmas so with his brother and family we are all having Christmas dinner at my place on the 15th. It will be traditional with Turkey but I may do some beef too as an excuse for having Yorkshire pudding!
I always make beef as well as turkey then I have loads of left over meat for the boxing day buffet
We havent decided for this year yet, one year some of us had fish the others had steak, loved the break from tradition. Many years ago my older brother had pot noodle and toast his wife being at work. they did there dinner a few days later
Aww shame your brother had to have pot noodle on the day. I help out at a shelter on christmas day but I still make time to do my traditional christmas dinner . All enjoy your dinner this year
jackoam43 It was his choice, he was invited else where but decided he would decorate with no wife there ready for the new year,
We normally have Turkey and ham and eat the leftovers for the next few days.
My mum is doing the dinner this year so I imagine it will be Turkey with all the trimmings.
