Christmas Dinner in a Can
In the News
Well big soups are not bad after a day out in the cold and wet but I think I draw the line where Christmas Dinner is concerned. Even if I were on my own I think I would buy or cook something a little more exciting. What do we think about Heinz latest venture?
Yes a nice curry even..I only ever do turkey at christmas after which its cold meat and pickles
MelissaLee1963 got to find it first I'll have a look in Morrisons I'm not paying more than £2 lol
You know when you read a headline and know fine well it’s not going to be accurate? This is one of those times. I read it and thought ‘no it’s not’ and I was totally correct!
MelissaLee1963 telmel Leannexxx Apparently they only made 500 cans, The 500 cans are available from Monday at https://heinztohome.co.uk/pages/christmas-shop for £1.50, plus postage and packaging. They've sold out.
Sounds and looks quite disgusting. These soups are cooked to a mush like baby food as it is. Glad I have already eaten my dinner Melissa!
It's so sad, I think even a frozen dinner would be better, I wouldn't have thought there was a market for this, Christmas is normally when people over indulgence.
The picture on the can looks nice but I bet when you open the can it will not look nice but I probably would have bought it to try
I saw this mentioned in the news the other day. It's not something that I would buy and I wouldn't like to think of my loved ones eating it on Christmas day.
I can see that it might appeal to some - perhaps those living alone on a small budget. As they have only produced 500 cans, it was more likely to have been a marketing ploy by Heinz.
Imagine trying to feed 21 people would need 21 tins cheaper to make dinner or even better they all pay me to cook
Don’t knock it until you try. Then bin it and get yourself a proper Christmas dinner. Personally I do not like Christmas dinner and land up with a jacket potato.
