Christmas Dinner or Tea
Ask a Question
Its called Christmas dinner but we going to have ours soon do you have it at lunch or tea time
we have it lunchtime with everyone then normally would have a buffet style tea to help ourselves to
We go middle of the road - have it around 3.30pm for starter and main, then had dessert around 8pm!
FG280 we've give up on starter like the idea of waiting before dessert I tried that but kids were having none of it
Imnotcheap to be fair, the kids had dessert around 6! There are 6 cousins all aged 2-4, so they had theirs before us, then played full of excitement!
Imnotcheap Aww it's only my partner and me to Christmas dinner so we really do as we please eating wise, wish I hadn't put all those chocolates out though as I looked I horror when I weighed myself this morning .
TiaTia it was me my partner our three kids 5,7,18 and my dad for Christmas dinner.
Last year my youngest two liked mince pies so I got 12. This year they don't so I got to eat them all. Not going near scales till they well gone
Imnotcheap Haha that's a good idea, maybe I'll just hide the scales somewhere until the new year and just enjoy myself for the rest of this week.
It’s dinner for us, as we have other things we eat earlier on the day to whet the appetite
CarolSarich I deliberately cook too much then freeze it for future roast dinners. Next time I only have to make gravy rest is done
Imnotcheap good idea! I would try that next roast I do! But must admit I don’t cook many
CarolSarich we having one next week my OH would have one most days if I'd make them
We prefer to eat later in the day, leaving lots of time to open presents, drink bucks fizz and croissants. We normally sit down to eat between 3 & 4 pm
