Christmas Period off Work?
Other
Who has Christmas off and goes back in January? Unfortunately I don’t have that luxury lol I’m in the catering industry! Damn you hungry people !
I work an office job and we get Christmas Day & Boxing Day. Anything else comes out of your annual leave.. id love one Of these jobs though that gets the whole time off and goes back in jan where do I sign up!!
Construction Industry - even the suppliers don't usually open. Have hi-vis, boots and hard hat ready, just give me the nod when you want to give up your comfortable office job
For the first time in about 7 years I am having the whole of Christmas week off as I am going away but the drawback is that I won't get paid!
Depends on what area you work in I used to work in retail and out of xmas eve boxing day new years eve and new years day I had to work 2 out of 4 but usually worked 3-4 as other people would just refuse to work their fair share and then winge about hkw they've got a family at home to spend time with apparently I dont have a family according to some
That is so unfair. I have found in life that those who whinge the loudest always seem to get their own way. I had Xmas week off last year (see above) so didn't even have the nerve to ask for it this year, others don't seem to mind being unfair to their colleagues.
Lynibis I completely agree with you on the ones that winge the loudest get heard I'm glad when company went bust tbh I dont like being harsh but the people I worked with were hard work to be around
I took it off last year, but not sure about this year yet. Busy time for me so we'll see! Hopefully though!
I'm off the whole week. No childcare, so I needed to book it all off. It is encouraged to take the Christmas period off at my work.
I am office based so dont have to work Christmas day etc, but I have worked several different jobs in the same hospital for the last 30 odd years so I have done Christmas day shifts in the past - when I was young free and single it was a great way of earning a decent chunk of extra money. Now family comes first so I wouldnt volunteer now!
