Anyone Still Read Comic Books?
Ask a Question
Does anyone still read comic books?
If so what comics do you enjoy reading?
I enjoy reading Marvel comics myself.
Sorry Chelsea but I can't think of anything worse. I also hate cartoons of any kind though I put up with them when my kids were kids.
At my age I won't spend time on anything that doesn't enrich or teach me something.
I am currently on the 5th of a series of books about Julius Caesar written as a novel with emotions and fiction amidst a lot of factual stuff. Here is a little snippet of info I gleaned from book 4. After Caesar went back to Rome with Cleopatra after killing her brother/husband, he stopped in Syria and met the king's son. This son was called Herod and was the guy who killed every first born son after being told of a prophecy about the coming Christ.
chelseaturpin very highly. It is a set of books with the overall title of Emperor, first one is called Gates of Rome. They are by Conn Iggulden and he also wrote a set of 5 about Ghengis Khan, overall title of Conqueror. I love historical novels because you can read them as simply stories with all the dialogue, emotion, excitement etc but learn so much. I always read the historical notes at the end of each book as the authors are always honest about any little additions they have made up.
However, I have to say my favourite history novels are set in medieval Britain and I learned enough to give talks at my local age concern before lockdown!
